RoRo Shipping FAQ

RORO SHIPPING FAQ

Frequently asked shipping questions

Straight answers about cargo information, acceptance, schedules and the quotation process.

What cargo can move by RoRo?

RoRo is commonly used for cargo that can be driven or towed on and off a vessel: trucks, tractor heads, trailers, chassis, cars, vans and accepted machinery. Final acceptance depends on the unit and carrier.

Which information is needed for a quote?

Send the origin, destination, cargo type, quantity, identifiers, operating condition and requested timing. Non-standard cargo also needs exact dimensions, weight and clear photographs.

Can non-running cargo be shipped?

Sometimes, but it requires disclosure and specific handling approval. Additional terminal or towing costs may apply.

Are sailing dates guaranteed?

No. Schedules and capacity can change. MKC confirms current information for the shipment and communicates material changes reported to us.

Do you arrange collection or documents?

Additional arrangements may be possible depending on the cargo and location. They are included only when confirmed in writing.

What should not be left inside a vehicle?

Do not leave undeclared personal goods, hazardous items or loose cargo inside a unit. Follow the confirmed carrier and terminal instructions.

Does a freight quote confirm import eligibility?

No. Customs, taxes, conformity, registration and import eligibility are destination-specific and should be checked with qualified local parties before purchase or dispatch.

How quickly will MKC respond?

We prioritise practical shipment enquiries and reply as soon as the cargo details can be reviewed. Complete information usually reduces back-and-forth.
